Best of The Pines 2023
Best of the Pines, hosted by The Pilot newspaper, is an annual publication celebrating Moore County’s favorite businesses, services, events, and organizations as nominated by local residents. For the 2023 edition, I created playful, postage stamp–style illustrations inspired by the way stamps are often used to commemorate American history, people, places, and culture. Many of the stamps on the cover highlight the spirit of the Sandhills, showcasing the region’s unique towns, landmarks, local events, and commerce across Moore County.
